Summary
Restoration efforts remain underway following Tuesday’s severe storms. Crews have restored power to more than 80% of the 19,291 customers affected at the peak, with 3,609 customers remaining this morning. Storms last night and this morning have caused more than 1,000 new customer outages.
There are now nearly 900 employees, contractors, tree crews and mutual assistance personnel working to complete restoration today.

Restoration Progress
Crews worked through the night and are focused today on the remaining outage locations. Flooding is being reported in areas around Mayking and Jenkins in Letcher County, which could limit access to damaged equipment and slow restoration in those locations.
