WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Families and businesses are dealing with repeated storms, flooding concerns and humid temperatures. Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) knows how difficult it is to be without power during conditions like these. That’s why our team is focused on restoring power safely and as quickly as possible.
Continuing to Work: More than 1,450 workers continue repairing storm damage in neighborhoods and backyards affected by yesterday’s storms. Crews are replacing broken poles and repairing damaged power lines.
Restoring Power: For customers whose homes and businesses can safely receive power, we expect service to be restored by 6 p.m. today.
Watching the Forecast: There is a chance for more severe storms this afternoon and evening, including wind gusts of 60 to 70 mph and heavy rain. Because the ground is already soaked, trees are more likely to fall or be uprooted. This can bring down power lines and cause additional outages.
Our Goal is Simple: We will remain fully staffed and ready to respond if more storms occur. Our focus is on restoring power safely and quickly so customers can get back to their daily routines. We thank our customers for their patience and understanding as communities recover from these storms.
